The dictionary meaning of soul searching is = The act of facing one's inmost self with courage, determined to bring every ulterior thought, emotion, and motive to light.
Now let me explain you what the heck is all this. I will put it in simple lucid terms-
Just finding out why you are born on this earth. Its imperative that we need to believe that we all are born for a purpose. This is all soul searching means and not going to himalayas or breaking countless coconuts in temple.
As Rebecca Dame states in her book - Its the soul's duty to be loyal to its own desire. It must abandon itself to its master passion.
